Love. Romantic love, familial love or the love between friends. I believe it is the singular most powerful force in the known universe (and possibly the unknown universe as well). I believe pure love trumps all other emotions and brands us so that we are immediately recognizable to those we love and those that love us.
I believe love endures long past the time we spend here, and ripples out to affect people we will never know. I believe it bends space and time and exists to teach us the better part of ourselves. Death is no barrier to love; it just changes the appearance of love. You no longer have the feel of a hand in yours, but are given the caress of the wind on your face or the sun on your back or grass under your feet. I believe once you have known love it will exist for you in all aspects of life and death and beyond.
A heart surrounds two skulls. Boy and girl? Girl and girl? Boy and boy? It is open to interpretation and as such it celebrates all love – because all love deserves celebration.

“I’m afraid that I am losing you, bit by bit. I thought I lost you when you died, but clearing out drawers is losing more of you, donating your clothes is losing more of you, throwing away your curry sauce that expired over a year ago is losing more of you, still I keep losing you. It’s as if the dying never ends.”
